2. LOD 200 - Schematic Design: At this level, the model starts to include more specific information. Elements are represented with approximate quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations. The model is still generic but more defined.
3. LOD 300 - Design Development: LOD 300 models are more refined and include accurate geometry, size, shape, location, orientation, and quantity information. They also incorporate connections and interfaces between elements.
4. LOD 350 - Construction Documentation: LOD 350 models are further detailed to support construction documentation and shop drawings. They include precise measurements, quantities, and fabrication, assembly, and installation information.
5. LOD 400 - Fabrication and Assembly: At this level, models are used for fabrication and assembly purposes. They include specific information about individual components, including precise dimensions, tolerances, and materials.
6. LOD 500 - As-Built and Facility Management: LOD 500 models represent the as-built condition of the building or facility. They include precise geometry and information about location, quantity, size, shape, orientation, and interfaces.
The LOD Specification is crucial in ensuring that all parties involved in a construction project have a clear understanding of the level of detail and information required for different stages.
